...No doubt it is nature,

if only for me as well.

I decided the rest myself

It is part of my being,

Of my desire.

While designers all over the world try to create a brand, and maybe succeed, and then sell millions of the same garments all over the planet, I set up my own philosophy of life on a different concept: to create glamour in and around the person, without fitting in with the rest of the world, only and exclusively reflecting the personality of each individual.

How did I come to this thought?

... from an early age I had an unusual way of expressing myself, my goal has always been to BE.

Being for the pleasure of how I wanted to live life: what people call work for me was not interesting, so I chose my own solution, that of BEING.

Being makes me nurture curiosity about everything I see, a desire to try and figure out how to refine it and create a fascination that is not unique but incomparable-this is inside me in every moment, creating unparalleled emotions for me; it has been my way of being since childhood and knows no boundaries of a normal schedule.

That a creation is wonderfully incomparable is not enough; I have always lived in the beyond, the beyond that has no end, so even in perfection I always find something to improve.

Otherwise my quest would have an end, and that is not possible because what I do would become a job, and I don't want to work-I want my whole life to be a vacation, full of excitement and dreams, in which to make friends who rely on me shine.

This is what I made of my particular vision: I put it at the service of the uniqueness that distinguishes each individual, to make it incomparable.

My choices and paths are not always understandable, which makes me different, but also makes me loved by friends in the world.

Just to give you a few examples, in the 1980s Icreated the three-hole button, which was very different from the common two- or four-hole buttons: despite the difficulties, I absolutely had to realize my idea, the first real expression of the philosophy that accompanies me to this day.

Also in the 1980s, I created the trouser hem with half lapels.

I found both the lapel and the scarped or smooth hem too common to express my vision, so I created the half lapel, which softens the view, helping the imagination to perceive a different, incomparable scenery.

Another characteristic element of my creative process is the absence of a label with my name: there is no Roberto Biagini creation that is really called "Roberto Biagini." This is because, at the center of what I do, there is not me, but the characteristics and enhancement of the people who rely on me.

Instead, each of my creations bears the initials of the friend for whom I created, specially drawn by me; and a dedication that recalls a moment we spent together or what prompted me to draw that creation just that way. I write my dedications between 5 and 8 a.m., that magical time still shrouded in the dimness of the night.

Sometimes I have to create for someone I don't know well, so I try to get as much information as I can about the person concerned and let my mind wander, imagining what his Being is like, what he finds pleasure in, how he spends his time.

Being close to me means being open to discovery and re-discovery whenever there is a need to create, because my creations represent who you are in the world and can be nothing but incomparable.
